Scalp Growth Stamp

How does it work?

The square head holds 140 fine needles. You press it straight down onto the scalp, lift, and move on. Each press makes tiny, shallow micro-channels in the skin's surface that close again within hours. The scalp responds with its own renewal process, and a serum applied afterwards meets less of a barrier on the way in.°

Why a stamp and not a roller?

A roller drags its needles in at an angle, and its axle catches hair as it turns. On a scalp that still has hair, that means tangling and pulling. The stamp goes straight in and straight out, so hair stays where it is and you can place it exactly on the parting and temples.

How do I use it?

Once a week, in the evening, on a clean, dry scalp. Set the dial to 0.5 mm, then press and lift 10 to 15 times per area along the parting, temples and crown, about ten minutes in all. Rinse the head, spray it with 70% alcohol, let it dry and put the cap back on. Apply your serum the next morning, not the same night.

Does it hurt?

At 0.5 mm most people describe it as a firm hairbrush pressed against the scalp. A little pinkness for a few hours is normal. If it hurts, the dial is set too deep: turn it back.

What's in the box?

One Renesia Scalp Growth Stamp (140 needles, adjustable depth dial, ribbed grip) with its protective cap, and printed instructions. For personal use only; do not share. Replace it about every six months.

Do not use on irritated, broken or infected skin, over moles or scars, or if you take blood thinners or have a metal allergy. External use only.

How It Works

Why 140 Needles Help Your Serum Do More

Most of what you put on your scalp stays on top of it. The stamp works on the surface layer so the care you apply afterwards has an easier way in. It does nothing on its own that a serum can't build on, and that's the point: it's the prep step.

1

Tiny, shallow channels

Each press opens 140 micro-channels in the scalp's surface. At 0.5 mm they stay shallow and close again within hours.

2

The scalp's own renewal response

The skin answers those micro-channels by renewing itself, the same response dermatology clinics use microneedling for.°

3

A better start for your serum

The next morning, your serum meets a freshly renewed surface at the parting and temples, exactly where you stamped.°

The Depth Dial

Set It Once. Start Gentle.

Your Weekly Ritual

Ten Minutes, Once a Week.

Stamp one evening a week. Use your serum every morning, starting the day after.

How to stamp

  1. Set the dial
    1

    Set the dial

Clean, dry scalp. Remove the cap and twist the dial to 0.5 mm.

  2. Press and lift
    2

    Press and lift

10 to 15 presses per area along the parting, temples and crown. Never drag it.

  3. Clean and cap
    3

    Clean and cap

Rinse the head, spray with 70% alcohol, let it air-dry and put the cap back on.

  4. Serum the next morning
    4

    Serum the next morning

Give your scalp the night. Apply the serum the following morning, then daily.

Why not serum right after? Freshly stamped skin is sensitive, and our serum contains a little alcohol and menthol. Waiting until morning keeps it comfortable.

The Research

Why Clinics Pair Needling With Topicals.

Randomised studies of scalp microneedling used alongside a daily topical, measured at 12 and 24 weeks.

Study 1 · 12 weeks · 100 adults
4× new hairs per cm² with weekly microneedling + topical (91.4) vs the topical alone (22.2)

Microneedling added to a topical: 4× the new hair count.°

In a randomised, evaluator-blinded study, adding weekly microneedling to a daily topical produced over four times the increase in hair count of the topical alone at 12 weeks.

Study 1 · 12 weeks · 100 adults
82% of the microneedling group rated their improvement above 50%, vs 4.5% with the topical alone

Most people could see the difference themselves.°

Participants' own assessment told the same story: 82% in the microneedling group reported more than 50% improvement, compared with 4.5% using the topical alone.

Study 2 · 24 weeks · 40 women
85% effective rate with weekly microneedling + topical, vs 45% with the topical alone

In women too: nearly double the response.°

In a randomised trial in women with female pattern thinning, weekly microneedling alongside a daily topical was effective for 85% of participants, compared with 45% on the topical alone. Side effects were mild.

These are studies of the microneedling technique used with a topical treatment in a clinical setting, with weekly sessions; they are not studies of Renesia products. Individual results vary.†

Before You Ask

Questions? We Have Answers.

Will it pull out my hair?
No. It presses straight down and lifts straight up, with nothing that rolls or catches. That is the whole reason we chose a stamp over a roller.
How often should I use it?
Once a week. The scalp needs the days in between to renew itself. More often is not better.
Which depth should I use?
0.5 mm for the scalp at home. Start at 0.25 mm the first week if you are nervous, and only go to 1.0 mm if the needles don't reach through very thick hair.
Can I use my serum right after?
Wait until the next morning. Freshly stamped skin is more sensitive, and serums with alcohol or menthol can sting. From then on, use your serum daily as usual.
How do I keep it clean?
Rinse the head after each use, spray it with 70% alcohol, let it air-dry and put the cap back on. Never share it. Replace it about every six months.
Who should not use it?
Skip it on irritated, broken or infected skin, over moles or scars, if you take blood thinners, or if you have a metal allergy. If you have a scalp condition, ask your GP first.
Does it work on its own?
Think of it as the prep step. Studies of microneedling paired it with a daily topical, and that is how it is designed to be used: with your serum.
What if it's not for me?
You're covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied, contact care@renesia.co for a full refund.
