How does it work?
Hair thinning is often driven by DHT — a hormone that shrinks your hair follicles over time until they stop producing healthy hair.
Our formula works against that in two ways:
Saw palmetto + pumpkin seed oil are traditionally used to support healthy DHT levels around the follicle — helping keep follicles active instead of shrinking.
Lycopene adds antioxidant protection, shielding the scalp environment from oxidative stress that can worsen thinning.
Together, three plant-based actives that support the scalp and follicle environment where age- and hormone-driven thinning shows up.°
What makes it different?
CO₂-extracted saw palmetto, standardised to ≥85% fatty acids at a full 320 mg — clinical-grade, not underdosed powder. Paired with cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil for essential fatty acids and phytosterols. Doses that match how they're actually studied — see the research below.
When will I see results?
Hair has its own cycle. Many people notice less shedding within the first weeks; visible density changes take consistent daily use over 2–4 months.°
How do I take it?
Take 2 softgels daily with a meal. The fat in your meal helps absorption of the oil-based nutrients.
Ingredients & Formula Panel
Pumpkin Seed Oil (Cucurbita pepo, cold-pressed), Saw Palmetto Extract (Serenoa repens, CO₂-extracted, ≥85% fatty acids), and Lycopene (from natural tomato oleoresin). Other ingredients: Vegan Softgel Shell (Hypromellose, Vegetable Glycerin, Kappa Carrageenan, Citric Acid, Sorbitol, Purified Water). For full doses, see the Formula Panel in the slideshow above.

Pumpkin Seed Oil + Saw Palmetto
“I went from a handful of hair every shower (about 150 strands) to about 20 strands. I'm very happy.”

My parting is closing up†
Pumpkin Seed Oil + Saw Palmetto
“I've got PCOS with really high DHT, plus I had a bad stretch of being sick a while back (which thins your hair too, since it hits your whole body — plus crazy stress). Ever since I started taking PSO with saw palmetto my hair grows in faster and a little thicker. My parting isn't as wide as it used to be and I'm seeing more filling in every month, so honestly no complaints.”

Even my hairdresser noticed†
Pumpkin Seed Oil + Saw Palmetto
“I've lost literally 2/3 of my hair from perimenopause and honestly I'd started to accept it as just part of getting older. I tried everything first — biotin, collagen, the pricey shampoos, all of it, total waste of money. My parting had got so wide you could see my scalp in the bathroom light and I'd basically stopped wearing my hair down. Kept seeing an ad for the product and finally figured I had nothing to lose. The shedding slowed down within a few weeks and now I've got little baby hairs coming in along my parting. My hairdresser actually asked what I'd changed. Wish I'd started sooner honestly.”

My hairline came back†
Pumpkin Seed Oil + Saw Palmetto
“My hairline and temples had been thinning for years, and I'd stopped trusting them to come back on their own. I kept my hair pulled back with a headband over the worst of it. Four months in, I've got soft new growth all along my hairline, and I can pull my hair back tight without seeing scalp. I don't recommend things lightly. This one earned it.”

My braid feels like mine again†
Pumpkin Seed Oil + Saw Palmetto
“In my family thick hair is pride, and my braid had become half of what it was at my wedding. I tried everything my aunts sent me — amla oil, onion juice, all of it. This is the first thing that made a difference I could actually feel in my hand. My parting isn't showing pale any more and my braid finally feels like mine again.”

The Honest Timeline
What to Expect with Consistent Daily Use
Hair grows on its own cycle. Here is the honest version of the road ahead.
1Weeks 1–4“The Quiet Phase”
Little to nothing visible yet.°
Some people notice a short-term rise in shedding early on — this is a normal part of the hair cycle resetting, not the product making things worse. Stay consistent through it.°
2Weeks 4–8“The First Signal”
Shedding typically begins to slow.°
Fewer strands in the drain, on the pillow, in the brush. For most people this reduced shedding is the first noticeable sign that something is shifting.°
3Months 2–3“New Growth Appears”
Fine baby hairs start coming in.°
Along the parting and hairline. Many report their scalp being less visible in bright light and their parting looking less wide.°
4Months 3–6“Visible Density”
Noticeable improvement in fullness and thickness.°
This is the window where the clinical study endpoint sits — the point at which hair-count and thickness gains were formally documented.°
5Months 6+“Maintain & Sustain”
Results consolidate.°
Progress naturally slows as it plateaus, and continued daily use maintains the gains. This is why hair support is an ongoing routine, not a one-time fix.°
What's Inside
3 Purposeful Ingredients. One Root-Cause Approach.
Pumpkin Seed Oil
2,000 mg · Cold-Pressed
Cold-pressed from Cucurbita pepo seeds and rich in essential fatty acids, zinc, and phytosterols. Studied for its role in supporting healthy hair by working along the body's natural 5-alpha-reductase pathway — the same pathway involved in hormone-driven thinning.°
Saw Palmetto Extract
320 mg · CO₂-Extracted · ≥85% Fatty Acids
Not a basic powder. Our saw palmetto is CO₂-extracted and standardised to at least 85% fatty acids — a clinical-grade concentration far above the commodity extracts most brands use. Traditionally used to support the body's natural hormonal pathways at the follicle.°
Lycopene
15 mg · From Natural Tomato Oleoresin
A powerful antioxidant sourced from natural tomato oleoresin. In a study of women with early-stage thinning, lycopene included in a daily supplement was associated with improved hair density. Helps protect hair follicles from the oxidative stress that can accelerate thinning.°

Serum DHT: significantly reduced vs placebo (p<0.001)
Lower serum DHT. Higher measured hair density.°
After 16 weeks, oral saw palmetto significantly reduced serum DHT compared with placebo, while measured hair density increased by 5.17% from baseline.
Cards two and three report results from the same 16-week clinical trial. Studies evaluated standardised saw palmetto extracts; they are studies of ingredients, not of Renesia itself. Individual results vary.†

The thinning women notice after menopause isn't a vitamin problem — falling oestrogen leaves DHT unopposed at the follicle. Supporting that pathway is exactly where I want to see a formula focus.°

Most hair supplements are a multivitamin with better marketing. Real doses that match the research — that's what makes a formula worth recommending.

Topicals mow the garden — nutrition waters it. A CO2-extracted saw palmetto standardised to 85% fatty acids is the part most brands skip, and it's the part that matters.°
Vanessa Liu, APD

I read supplement labels for a living. 2,000mg of cold-pressed pumpkin seed oil and 320mg of standardised saw palmetto are numbers I can verify — and that's why they're on this label.
Hair grows on its own cycle. Most women need 2-4 months of consistent daily use to see a change in density, so stocking up means never missing a day.°

When will I see results?
Many people notice less shedding within the first few weeks; visible density changes take consistent daily use over 2–4 months. Hair grows on its own cycle.°
Isn't cheap pumpkin seed oil from Amazon the same thing?
Not quite. Cheap PSO is often underdosed or heat-processed powder. Renesia uses 2,000mg cold-pressed oil plus CO₂-extracted saw palmetto at ≥85% fatty acids — the complete, correctly-made version.
Is it vegan?
Yes. The softgel is a vegan hypromellose shell — no animal gelatin. Free of soy, dairy, gluten, and tree nuts.
How do I take it?
Two softgels daily with a meal for best absorption.
Will it affect my hormones or cause side effects?
Renesia is a food-based supplement, not a hormone or drug. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medication, check with your GP first.
Can I take it alongside my current routine?
Generally yes. If you're on prescription treatments, ask your GP.

Honestly the guide in the box is what got me somewhere. 2 years of "its normal at your age" from my GP. The guide says to get your iron and thyroid checked if you're shedding, so I asked at my next appt and it was bulk billed. ferritin was LOW and nobody ever checked it before. so iron + these every morning. 4 months in, way less in the drain and my parting looks smaller. wish i'd known to ask years ago
Wish someone had told me about this two years ago. I used to have thick, heavy hair - the kind you complain about because it takes forever to dry. Then perimenopause hit around 47 and within about a year I was watching handfuls come out in the shower and my part just kept getting wider no matter how I combed it. I went to my GP, she said it was probably just stress and to try a multivitamin. I tried biotin for almost a year - nothing. Tried a cheap pumpkin seed oil off Amazon - nothing, and now I understand why, it wasn't even close to a real dose. I found Renesia through a lot of very late-night googling and was honestly sceptical after so many dead ends. Around month three I noticed the drain wasn't the horror show it used to be, and by month four my hairdresser asked what I'd changed. I don't feel like I'm disappearing anymore. My only regret is not finding this sooner.
I have arthritis so I can't really scrub my scalp with my fingers anymore, the massager from the kit fits right in my hand and I use it every wash, feels great. The tablets are what's doing it though. About 3 months, less hair in the shower and my hairdresser said the top looks fuller.
Kept the weight loss AND my hair, finally. Down 19kg on Mounjaro and thrilled about it, but around month five my hair started coming out in the shower in a way that genuinely scared me. Nobody warns you about this part. I wasn't going to stop the medication so I needed something else to work with it. Started Renesia about two months ago and the shedding has slowed down a lot, plus I'm seeing little baby hairs along my hairline that weren't there before. Feels like I finally get to keep both wins instead of trading one for the other.
Been on it about 3 months. ponytail is getting back to normal and I'm not picking hair off my jumpers all day. The kit came with a $60 card for a friend and I gave it to Lisa, we went thru menopause at the same time and she's been wearing headbands to hide her parting for like a year. She ordered last week lol. Now we compare notes
PCOS hair loss is basically androgens attacking the follicle, so a DHT blocker made sense to try instead of jumping straight to spironolactone, which I really did not want to be on long term. Three months into Renesia my scalp is noticeably fuller and honestly my chin hair situation has calmed down too, which I was not expecting as a bonus. Doses are actually clinical here, not just pixie dust amounts like a lot of the cheaper stuff.
12hr shifts on the ward, i never remember tablets. the little metal case lives on my keys now so i take them whenever i finally eat. 2 months no missed days which is a record for me. shedding after my divorce was scary, clumps on wash day, now its normal again and theres baby hairs at my temples
I always quit stuff at like week 6 bc I can't see anything happening. Bathroom cupboard full of biotin and rosemary oil to prove it. This time I put the tracker on the fridge and took a pic of my parting every month like the guide says. Month 1 and 2 pics looked the same, almost gave up. Month 3 I could see it.
My body finally stopped announcing the divorce. About three months after my divorce was finalised my hair just started coming out in clumps, way more dramatic than anything hormonal, it was bloody terrifying honestly. I'd survive the worst year of my life and then my body decided to keep punishing me on top of it. A friend who'd gone through something similar mentioned pumpkin seed oil and saw palmetto, so I looked into Renesia specifically because the dosing actually matched what I'd read about. I'm about ten weeks in now and the shower floor doesn't look like a crime scene anymore. Still have bad days but I don't flinch every time I brush my hair now, and that alone is worth it.
My friend Carol swore by it, now I do too. I'd tried all sorts of things over the years for my thinning hair and had got pretty sceptical about any of it actually doing anything. My friend Carol mentioned this and I figured why not. About three months in I noticed a lot less hair in the drain, and now there's real new growth coming through along my part. Nothing dramatic or overnight, just steady, honest improvement, which is really all I was hoping for at 68.
Took longer for me but it's working. Everyone else seemed to notice results at 3 months, took me closer to 5, so don't panic if you're not seeing it right away. Shedding is down noticeably and I'm sticking with it. Only downside is the softgels are a bit big, easier with breakfast than on an empty stomach.
The mechanism finally made sense to me. What sold me was actually understanding WHY my hair was thinning instead of just being told to try another vitamin. Oestrogen drops, follicles get exposed, that tracked with everything I was seeing - the widening part, the temples, all of it. I'd already burned through biotin and a minoxidil trial I hated (didn't want to be tied to a topical forever). Renesia is the first thing that's actually made a difference, less falling out starting around week 10, and I feel calmer about the whole thing now that I'm not just guessing.
Bought it for my mum, she won't stop talking about it. Got this for my mum after she kept mentioning her hair thinning around her temples. She's been on it about two and a half months and keeps texting me updates, which honestly says it all. Ordering another bottle before she asks.
A few months after having my daughter my hair started coming out by the handful in the shower, it was alarming. This has helped a lot with the shedding, glad I gave it a try instead of just waiting it out.
finally a product that doesnt talk down to me about the dosing. actual clinical amounts on the label, not hidden in a proprietary blend. and it's working, less shedding, less chin hair too
Went through a really rough year health-wise and my hair basically told on me a few months later, coming out in handfuls. This has been the first thing to actually calm it down. About two months in, feeling a lot more like myself.
No subscription trap, actually delivers, rare combo. I almost didn't order because I've been burned before by companies that quietly sign you up for a subscription you have to fight to cancel. Renesia let me just buy one bottle, no games, which honestly earned some trust before I'd even tried it. My hair loss started with perimenopause about two years ago and I'd cycled through biotin, a rosemary oil phase, and a cheap pumpkin seed oil that clearly wasn't dosed for anything. This is the first one where I can actually point to a difference - less in my brush every morning, a couple of visible baby hairs near my temples by month three. I feel like myself in the mirror again, which sounds dramatic but if you've been through this you know exactly what I mean.
Works, just took patience. Down 25kg on Mounjaro and my hair loss scared me more than I expected. This took a solid 4 months before I saw real change, longer than I hoped, but the shedding is way down now and I'm not sorry I stuck with it. Capsules are a little big, no big deal with food.
Wife loves it, a little pricey but worth it. Bought this for my wife after months of her being upset about her hair. She's about two months in and says it's the first thing that's actually made a difference, less shedding especially. It's not cheap but if it keeps working we'll keep buying it.
The triple win nobody warns you about with PCOS. Diagnosed with PCOS at 29 after years of doctors telling me I was just stressed. Once I actually understood the androgen piece I went looking for a natural option instead of going straight to spironolactone, mostly because I'm trying to keep my options open for having kids eventually. Started Renesia about four months ago and honestly did not expect three separate improvements at once - the scalp thinning has slowed a lot, my chin hair has basically stopped coming in daily like it was, and my skin cleared up too. One mechanism, three visible changes, which makes a lot of sense once you actually read into how androgens work but was still a nice surprise to live through.
My ponytail wraps three times again. For about two years I could tell you exactly how bad things were getting by how many times the hair tie went around my ponytail. Two wraps, then three, then four, and that fourth wrap was the one that made me sit and cry in my car. I'm 53, well into menopause, and my hair had always been the one thing I never had to think about. My GP's entire answer was that this is normal at my age and I should try to manage my stress. Very helpful. I did biotin for eight months, I did the rosemary oil thing, I bought a cheap pumpkin seed oil from Chemist Warehouse that I now realise was maybe a quarter of a real dose. Renesia was the first one where I actually read the label and thought okay, somebody was serious here. The shedding calmed down first, around week six or seven. The new growth along my part took longer, closer to three months, little wispy baby hairs that stick straight up and look ridiculous and I love them anyway. I'm back to three wraps. I know how small that sounds. It is not small.
Nobody warns you about the hair part. Twenty-eight kilos gone on Mounjaro and I would do it again tomorrow. What nobody sat me down and explained is that losing weight that fast can absolutely wreck your hair. Around month four I was finding it everywhere, on the pillow, on the car headrest, a genuinely upsetting amount on the shower floor every wash day. I asked my GP and got a shrug and a suggestion to eat more protein, which I was already doing religiously. Quitting the medication was never on the table, so I went looking for something working on a completely different lever and fell down a DHT rabbit hole for longer than I'd like to admit. The shedding eased first, maybe six weeks in, and it was such a relief that I actually photographed the drain to compare later. By month three there was real fuzz coming in at my temples. I get to keep the weight loss and my hair. That's the whole review. My only complaint is that nobody told me this was coming so I could have started sooner.
Chose this over spiro and no regrets. I carried a spironolactone prescription around in my bag for a month and never had it filled. I want kids in the next few years and I wasn't comfortable with it, which is my personal call and not advice for anyone else. Pumpkin seed oil plus saw palmetto at an actual standardised dose felt like a reasonable first move for someone with PCOS, so I went with Renesia. Six months in: less shedding at my crown, and the chin hairs that used to turn up daily now turn up maybe once a week. My dermatologist had no strong opinion either way, which is honestly fine by me. I'm happy with where I've landed.
My wife has been quietly upset about her hair for a couple of years, so I ordered this instead of asking what she wanted for our anniversary, which I recognise was a risky move. She's on her third bottle now. Last week she told me her part looks better and then made me promise not to make a big deal out of it. So I am making a big deal out of it here instead.
The graveyard under my sink finally has a survivor. Okay, I'm a believer. I went in fully expecting this to join the pile of half-empty bottles under my bathroom sink, the collagen, the biotin, some horse-related thing my sister-in-law swore by. It started at 51 when my part got wide enough that I was combing it over to a different side to hide it, and if you know, you know. Around ten weeks the shedding dropped off noticeably. I'm five months in now and there's a whole fringe of short hairs coming in that I have to smooth down every morning. I don't dodge photos anymore. For me that is the entire point.
It stopped being scary. I lost my mum in autumn and about three months later my hair started coming out in a way that genuinely frightened me. Not gradual thinning, more like clumps every single time I washed it. I would sit on the shower floor and cry, which sounds dramatic until it happens to you. A woman in my grief group mentioned she'd taken these after her divorce and that was enough for me to try. I'm four months in now. The shedding slowed first and honestly that alone handed me back some peace, and now there's new hair filling in around my hairline. I still miss her every day, but at least I don't dread wash day.
Honest about the timeline. I'm 71 and I'll be straight with you, this took about four months before I could say anything for certain, not the three you read about everywhere. But the shedding is less and my hairdresser pointed out new growth at the back last visit. Four stars only because I nearly quit at month two. Stay with it longer than you think you need to.
Second bottle. What I notice most is the shower, it used to look like something died in there on wash day and now its a normal amount of hair. My part is still wide but it stopped getting wider, and at 49 I'll take stopped getting wider as a genuine win.
Three weeks in so I honestly cannot say yet. No stomach issues, no weird aftertaste, easy enough to swallow. Ill update this when I actually know something.
Those fluorescent lights in the change room. There is a specific kind of horror in a change room mirror with overhead lighting, the moment you tilt your head and can see straight through to your scalp. That was me last year at 55, and I left without buying anything and cried in the car park. Perimenopause took my sleep, my waist, and apparently my hair, and every doctor I raised it with said some version of that's just what happens. I'd already burned through a year of biotin gummies and a bottle of minoxidil I hated, because being tied to something forever bothered me more than the thinning did. What finally got me to try Renesia was reading enough about DHT to understand that biotin was never going to touch the actual problem. It's been five months. Shedding calmed way down by the end of month two, and the crown is where I see the difference now, not thick, I want to be honest about that, but covered in a way it was not. I got my hair cut short and blunt and I actually like how I look. It feels ridiculous to credit a supplement for that but here we are.
Works, but the softgels are big. Results-wise I have no complaints. Four months in, less shedding, some new growth at the temples where it had gone sparse. My gripe is the softgels themselves. They're not enormous but they're not small either, and I have a terrible swallow reflex, so I take them one at a time with a full glass of water and a real meal. Once I moved them to breakfast instead of taking them on the run it got much easier. Dropping a star for that alone, which I know is a little unfair to something that's actually doing what it promised.
Fourth brand, first one that did anything. I have now tried four different pumpkin seed oil products. Two were underdosed powders, one locked me into a subscription I had to email twice to escape, and Renesia just worked and let me buy a single bottle like a normal adult. Almost three months and my hair feels denser at the roots.
